National Grid Seeks to Freeze Gas Delivery Rates Through 2028 |
|
National Grid is looking to give customers a break. The company—which delivers electricity and natural gas to more than 20 million people across New York and Massachusetts—has filed a proposal with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) to freeze gas delivery rates for nearly two million customers in New York City and on Long Island. If approved, current delivery rates would stay in place for an extra year—through March 31, 2028—offering added stability at a time when many households and businesses are feeling the strain of higher costs.
