Healthy Eating, Healthy Cooking Fair | Paerdegat Park 10 AM – 3 PM

Dear Community Members and Partners,
Community Board 17’s Parks & Beautification Committee will be hosting a “Healthy Eating- Healthy
Cooking Fair” on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at Paerdegat Park, located on Albany Avenue, between
Farragut Road and Foster Avenue, from 10am-3pm.
We are extending an invitation to you to partner with Community Board 17’s Parks and Beautification
Committee so that we can put our resources together to serve the community. As a partner, you could assist
by providing donations in the form of bottled water, packaged snacks, fruits, vegetables, and resource
materials to educate the members of the community. You could also do a cooking demonstration, or workout
demo, or assist by engaging members of the community and other community-based organizations to
attend and volunteer at the event.

We are also extending an invitation to you to attend this event as your schedule permits.
We ask that you purchase the items you would like to donate and send them to the

Chair of the Parks & Beautification Committee.
