BKLVLUP is inviting all Flatbush and East Flatbush residents to join us at H.E.A.R.D. @ Home’s Voting Kickoff Info Session Saturday, April 29th, 2023, meeting from 2-4 PM at Bon Bonbon Bakery (1407 Flatbush Avenue) to learn more about our upcoming The People’s Money neighborhood project get out the vote effort.

You may have participated in phase 1 of the project, where we hosted idea-gathering sessions around the community.

In this Saturday’s info session, we will discuss the five projects that made it to the final ballot, the voting criteria and process, and how you and everyone you know can vote for them soon.

The winning East Flatbush neighborhood project will receive $50,000 to be brought to life and shape the community positively. We will also share information about the 10 Brooklyn Boroughwide projects you may vote on.  Four of those projects will receive $250,000 to be implemented.  

The official voting period starts May 10th and will continue through June 25, 2023.

Again, this voting kickoff information session will begin the conversation with residents and elected officials about the projects and how we will work to get as many community members to vote as possible. Community resources will also be provided. Please feel free to come with any questions that you may have. Refreshments will be provided!
